Departure by deluxe coach for the the visit and sighseeeing of Val d’Orcia. Stop in MONTALCINO, homeland of the famous wine Brunello. Meet with a local guide to discover the village. We then proceed towards SANT’ANTIMO and we stop for the visit of the Abbey, located outside the village, in the hamlet of Castelnuovo dell’Abate.
Then we reach PIENZA to discover this charming village, known all over the world as the ideal town of Renaissance, creature of the great Umanist Silvio Piccolomini, later become Papa Pio II. Piccolomini had the economic strenght to transforme his humble village, Corsignano, into what he believed to be an utopic town, according to the rules and philosophy of classic age and the Italian Renaissance.
Our next stop is MONTEPULCIANO, a medieval town located on the hills and surrounded by wineyards and well known for its red wine Nobile. Torre di Pulcinella is a clock tower with Pulcinella on the top (one of the figure of art comedy). Piazza Grande hosts the Palazzo Comunale of XIV century, and the Duomo, in which there is a big triptych on the altar.

We will continue our tour with a stop at SAN CASCIANO DEI BAGNI: third town in Europe for its water thermal flow, it is famous for its beneficial sources. It is said that Porsenna founded these baths and Emperor Ottaviano used to join them for his cures. In any case the perfect combination of thermal water, clayey earth and vegetation promoted the settlement on the hill of San Casciano Bagni.
