NORTHERN MAREMMA BY BIKE

Meet&greet in Follonica, delivery of bicycles and departure for a guided tour of the area of Follonica.

Entrance to the Magma Museum, where the mining history and the old machinery of the quarries are collected. Here we will learn how to recognise minerals and arboreal essences.

Hotel accommodation in the reserved rooms.

Breakfast at the hotel.

Departure for the visit of Puntone and the discovery of an ancient Etruscan-Roman port.

Then we will take an educational tour of a special donkey breeding farm, where donkey milk for health purposes is produced. Free lunch.

In the afternoon, entry to the Il Pupillo Winery to get closer to winemaking, oil production and agriculture. Tasting of oil and typical dishes of the Maremma tradition.

Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Departure for the I Palazzi di Follonica Riding Club by the Cerri Family for an experience on horseback that will retrace the dirt roads of the Montioni Natural Park along the Pecora River.

The food and wine tour proceeds leading us to the Angela Saba Dairyt, where we will have a tasting and demonstration of production according to the raw processing method. A visit to the breeding farm will follow.

Optional lunch with tasting at Osteria Il Leccio, based on traditional dishes, accompanied by wines from the Monteregio di Massa Marittima Wine Route.

Return to Follonica, crossing the Tuscan landscape among vineyards and cypresses.
